Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin (CPE) is a protein toxin produced by Gram-positive bacteriaC. perfringens. CPE destroys cell membrane structure of animals by its phospholipase activity after binding to the membrane of Claudin family proteins which are components of tight junction of epithelial cell membrane. CPE binds to Claudins 3 4 6 7 8 and 14 but not to Claudins 1 2 5 and 10.

Storage: Ship at 4℃ or -20℃ and store at -20℃ or
-80℃ (for long-term storage).

Applications
1. For the study of Claudin localization in cells
2. For the study of tight junctions
3. Western blot
4. SDS-PAGE .
5. ELISA

Form: 280 µg/ml in 50% glycerol 10 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 6.7)

Reactivity: human monkey rodents dog

Immunogen: Recombinant human RanBP9 from Phe133 to Tyr 229.

Applications
1. Western blotting (1/1000- 1/ 2000 dilution)
2. Immunoprecipitation (assay dependent concentration)
3. Immunofluorescence stainig (1/200~1/1000 dilution)

antigen retrieval with citrate buffer (pH 6) before formalin
treated paraffin embedded sectioning)

Form: Undiluted antiserum added with 0.09% sodium azide

Background: RanBPM (RanBP9) was identified as a protein that interacts with small GTP-binding protein Ran and forms a 670 kD multiprotein complex. The protein consists of 729 amino acids and is identified by Western blotting as an apparent molecular mass of 95 kD (see below). It is involved in nucleation of microtubules and controls cell growth by interacting with many protein factors.
